A working model for Risa regulation on podocyte injury and autophagy in DN Under hyperglycemia, the activity and expression of Risa increased. Risa overexpression inhibited the level of Sirt1, increased the activation of GSK3β, and then changed the expression and function of autophagy-related proteins and podocyte proteins through interaction and phosphorylation, which eventually led to podocyte damage.
