Terahertz band in the electromagnetic spectrum and corresponding molecular transitions. Infrared bands include far-infrared, Mid-infrared and near-infrared. Mid-infrared spectroscopy measures the vibration patterns of bending and stretching motions (such as C-O, C=O).
