Various platforms of vaccine candidates for COVID-19. mRNA, adenovirus vector, peptide and protein subunit vaccines have been developed based on the genetic information of SARS-CoV-2, while inactivated vaccines have been developed based on the inactivation of the live wild-type SARS-CoV-2 virus.
